Default Music recording / Audio software...

Right, just simple at home recording. Just want software that can have multi tracks, simple editing eg cutting sections out and duplicating sections...

Home recording, in terms of being cost effective, Audacity is a good program for what it does. But if your going to "pay" for things, if your on a MAC system, Logic all the way, if not, Cubase gets the thumbs up from me. But top dog is Protools.

Waveburner for Mac, Goldwave for PC.

now if you want to pay for it or need something that is really multitrack, then it's Logic/Cubase/Pro Tools
