hi everyone, hope you like my progress report so far:

this is how my saxo looked 2 months ago, i couldn't decide to sell it or start again, as you'll see i started again!!

so the stripping down started in preparation for a respray in bmw m3 white!





the plans and spec were:
-respray in m3 white
-smoothed off carbon fibre bonnet
-pug ecosse 205 spoiler smoothed into bootlid
-smoothed and colour coded custom dash and custom doorcards
-leather retrim white and kandy red
-custom wheels resprayed in kandy red
-piper cam
-forge front mount intercooler
-turbo conversion, with low comp pistons and steel rods
-remap with jamsport with go-tech management

***all needs to be ready by june 22 - french car show!!!!***

repairing skirts, arches and bumpers!!!





dashboard out - ready to smooth!!



ecosse 205 spoiler going on!!





carbon fibre bonnet finally arrived from ccf - looks amazing!!!



car in primer - nearly ready to spray!!



car sprayed, not far from being finished!!!





buffed, cleaned and polished, bonnet fitted!! wow!!





and thats the last two months so far, turbo kit on the way from the netherlands, as soon as it comes from the bodyshop, the head will be ported and polished, piper cam fitted!!

i'd love to hear what you think, and how you think the car looks so far??
any advice or suggestions?? i'd really appreciate it!!??

First of all wow! A lot of time and effort gone into that so far

Love the colour and engine plans...should be a very nippy little sax!

Out of interest are those Kei's on there atm and what alloys were you planning on getting before they are re-sprayed?

Looks good bar the front bumper. I just think it sticks out too far in front of the car and...its extra weight . The rest of the car looks pretty smart, colour is really nice and the carbon bonnet is awesome.

I think you should of left the standard bumper on or maybe a not so aggressive front bumper. Rest of the car is looking good though, you going to strip it or....? Will make the car faster .

I'm not a fan of body kitted cars but this one actually looks good I love the side exit exhausts, are they off a bike?

Yeah They Are Kei Racing Rss Wheels, They Are Coming Off And Respraying Some Normal 5 Spoke 17's In Kandt Red, Not Sure What They'll Look Like Though??

Think I'll Get Some Oz Ultraleggera's Or Team Dynamics??

It Is Stripped Out, So It Should Be Pretty Quick, But Body Kit Will Definately Weigh It Down!!

Just Wanted Go And Show!!


I'll Put More Pics Up Soon, Should Be Out Of Body Shop By End Of Next Week.

yeah did think about throttle bodies, or cams. but wanted something a little different, so went for the turbo. want the boost and the wastegate!!

any suggestion on what wheels to go for, i was thinking black team dynamics multispokes, or oz ultraleggera's in the new red colour, or do you thi nk it will look a bit tacky??

Thanks fella! Well I bought from a guy off here (mike cracknell) who did all the external mods, i've just added a s/s mani and raceland induction kit... oh and a new boot build (check my progress).

I like the black and white style your going for and I would get yourself some oz ultraleggera's in black and maybe a red pin strip if you want some colour there!

Team Dynamics in 15" or 16's would looks very nice or get some better brakes (Hi-Spec 4 pots ) and show them off with a set of lush Ultraleggie's in White to match

Throttle bodies and cams with a decent ECU = power on tap
Both would sound great but for show and go the Turbo conversion will be more than enough bud

will you be using bonnet raisers to get extra air into the engine bay? as a turbo will be making a fair ammount of heat....with a carbon fibre bonnet, smoothed....wheres the air going to go?

ride looks ok....get rid of the kit imo......

not a fan of the front bumper, skirts and spoiler or side exit exhaust tbh but i can appeciate the money, time and effort put into it. like the bonnet and smoothing though, should make for good reading.

thanks mate will keep the updates coming, have got some 206 gti 180
brakes to go on but after the conversion hi spec 4 pots will definately be the next choice!!

its a tough one about the wheels, will need to think abouit it!!

Really think black oz wheels with a red pin stripe would look sexual! Or possibly white with red pin stripe

yes, am going to have bonnet raisers, otherwise heat will have nowhere to go!! kant exactly get rid of the kit its all smoothed in, plus i love it!!
