at uni, don't need a car and that's about it really!
if you drive a VTS daily it loses it's fun appeal fast tbh.

you're chatting shit sayer... I'm picking it up tomorrow.
3 months without a car and I've succumbed. I did actually look at such shit cars as a 205 Cabriolet, a Vauxhall Nova 1.2, a Nissan Micra 1.0, some gutless piece of japanese junk with 898cc engine... but decided to get the smegging saxo back.
Wednesday it's going to ManicMotors for a fulla serviceo, cambelt change, powerflex ARB bushes, clutch change, oh and an XSI box going in... cams are staying at home and I'm actually tempted to sell them now.
Naturally, I won't allow any old shite to pass through it's filters and pumps and therefore, the paxo is getting Silkolene PRO S for the engine and some
Fuchs Titan 75W-80 gearbox oil... total cost for the two was £70 *gulp* but I know it'll be worth it.
Actually really really looking forward to having the car back... yeehaa

negative homie... no idea how the predator thing is coming along and it's just too much of an arse in terms of idle, MOT regs and all that shizzle.
I wish I'd bought some PH1's in all honesty... wonder if Newman will do an exchange???

TBF if you don't drive fast (like me) you wont need the extra power, a VTS is good enough for everyday use.
Is there a reason why you're replacing the gearbox other than the different ratios?

I agree totally man, it'll be a pain tit's for me, mpgs n power delivery n shiz. The box, always fancied an XSI box, shorter than the VTS/gti but not too short to be a git on the motorways - still need to change that 5th gear though... must chase Mankee on that.
it's around 10% quicker acceleration from the calculations I made (ages ago, need to dig up the excel sheet in fact), doesn't sound a lot but equates to quite a 'kick'
hopefullyyyy
