simo do you NEED to remove the brake servo? i personally dont think its a good idea. the braking system is quite good on these cars. i even think i full pedal box assebly would be a backwards step.

No, I dont need to... but its already removed! I just dont like the sloppy feel, so need to re-fit it and change the dual master cylinder setup I have, or do something different!?! THats the problem... what to do

The 325mm discs and 4-pot calipers work well... just need to balance the setup to tranmit the right pressure/volume to them. THats why I need to get my calculator out... just cant find the enthusiasm to do it

Square block?
Like I said, why not give J222 a shout - he makes shiny piping all day long!

simo, just make sure everything is in good working order i,e no worn parts and stick with the standard setup. its easy then. worst comes to worst you have a bit of slop,,,, at least you will have a working car then.
coudnt you just try a larger master cylinder?
i wouldnt change my brake setup (bar discs) for almost anything. i could lock up the wheels at pretty much any speed. imo your better off keeping it simple, get it running then any complicated stuff can be worked out in time.

I may be able to re-fir the servo behind the dual master cylinders... I've just not had chance to look at this. I will take a look tomorrow, when I clear the boot out of all of the old parts and see what I can figure out
THe brakes work... and should pass an MOT, but compared to the Megane, they 'feel' crap and so I will likely stack it the first time I use them
A higher rated servo would by the best option I think, as I'd like to keep the dual master cylinder system... Time will tell

Simo I've got a beta brake bias calculator in my adsayers super amazing awesome saxo calculator.
All you do it put in the relevant numbers like pot size and stuff and it does the rest, actually come to think about it I think you have to trial and error it until you nail a particular bias but it saves munching through endless calculations. I worked on it ages ago so it could do with some refining but it's there if you want it.
sayer.

Cheers dude!
I also need to figure out STD master cylinder size, size of my two cylinders... Assist ratio given by STD servo... Then crunch that with the equivalent piston area of my 4-pots.
Or just guess lol
Arse...

Yep the calc factors in all that (assist ratio is done as pedal ratio but essentially it's the same thing once it's applying pressure to the MC)

Sorry mate, being thick as shit tonight...

If it doesn't work or doesn't contain the brake bias, then let me know. That's several versions out of date now as I continually update it (usually more user friendly, although you'll get your head about it easily enough) but the brake bias hasn't changed since I first drafted it.

Any progress since the summer Simo? Or is work still demanding too much of your time?
Im getting back into the saxo scene this year after a 5 year absence, and reading your progress of the rebuild has sparked even more motivation in myself. Hope you find your this year too.
Kind Regards
Dan
