Small update
Just waiting on the vts to sell before i get the car back home and make good progress on it.
106 Gti brakes:
After the bleed nipples snapped i have been looking for a new brake setup and these cropped up.
Will get the calipers painted yellow or black whichever paint i can find the quickest.
Just waiting on my Manual mirrors to arrive.
So far left to do before i take it for an MOT:
Replace noisy water pump
Replace damaged front wishbone rear bush
And a oil and filter change

Small update:
I have now got the car back home from my brothers house so i can start working on it again. I am waiting on my waterpump and lower rear wishbone bushes from 106parts, but in the meantime i went to Stafford last night and collected my S1 Group N engine mounts (Thanks again Ben - 106rallye):
And while i am updated my progress, i purchased some manual wing mirrors from a chap off 106rallye a while ago:
Next bits and bobs i am after is:
Manual Windows
Supersprint Centre Section
Aerial Blanking grommit from Pug
Fit the vts front brakes
MOT!

Thanks Alex man! Group N stuff was cheaper as the lad had just sold his S1 Rallye and wanted rid of all his stuff. Shame i couldn't have his VTS/GTI engine off him.
For anyone interested........here is the blanking grommet for the aerial i am going to order this week:

I agree totally, the little 8v certainly is a nice engine. its on 135,000 so i don't know when it will fail......when it does i will most likely go 1600cc block with my xsi head.
I noticed someone posted the pic on 106RR and i thought i need one as i currently have the aerial mount which isn't exactly doing alot. Nice cheap mod.

Thanks Adam. Hopefully it will be a nice little car to thrash about in.
While im here, just got back home and received my parts from 106parts. So will hopefully be fitting tomorrow.
Got a nice little list to do tomorrow:
Fit water pump
Fit front wishbone rear bushes
Fit Group N engine mounts (Rear mount will need to wait till next week once ive pressed it in at work)
Fit my manual mirrors
Fit airfilter
Possibly fit front vts calipers
And order aerial bung.

Thanks mate. Hopefully they help as the current ones are split. Thought i might as well upgrade.
Haha yea i was only going to replace worn parts but i ended up replacing non worn parts
These little 8v's don't seem die. bet mine will run a while longer yet..Going to take a goosy gander at your progress now! Don't think i've seen it yet.
Well today i have......
Ordered Aerial Bung from pug
Fitted manual mirrors
Fitted front 2 engine mounts
replaced one wishbone rear bush
Grinded 2 of my fingers with the grinder!! Its hurts quite alot.
Still to do this week sometime....
Press rear bush into mount and then fit to car
Fit other wishbone rear bush
Fit water pump
fit vts brakes

Dont spose you have part number for the aerial bung?
Aerial serves not purpose for me, and this is a tidy way of removing it.

No worries part numbers are:
8101.92 is Seal underneath
8101.93 is plug that goes on top
You need both of those parts.
