Yeah, I'll have a few pictures but I don't know how many my cousins taken. I think the ones I have a pretty descriptive of the extent of the rot though.

Here's a quick on from a few weeks back. Doesn't look much but it's hidden by the moulding quite a bit.

Hi Alan,
this is my first post on here but I thought it'd be fitting to be in this thread.
I've read through the thread and it has to be said you've done a cracking job!
I'm actually going down the same route as you and after winning a VTR on eBay for £265 which I'm going to track, I had a search on Google to see what others had done and yours was there.
Weirdly enough I'm in Widnes too which is only round the corner from you, so I may fire over a couple of questions if thats OK with you?

Go for it mate. Theirs a LOT of information on here about what's the best things and stuff to buy and searching for the info is part of the fun of doing these projects yourself but I know it can be daunting so I'll help where I can or point you in the right direction.

Thank you very much mate, don't worry I will always do a bit of searching first but it's good to know that you're willing to help if I'm stuck!

Well, spoke to my cousin this evening. Looks like a beast session will be needed on Sunday to get it sorted this weekend!!
Hes got the rear end done and the top half of one front corner, just needs to sort the underside then do the drivers side.
After that, the cage holes need re-drilling and the floor will need a lick of paint and the front half of the cage refitting, then the MOT needs doing... which it should now pass
Then the fun part... I get to drive it home!! I'll try and get out for a drive in it each night then to get used to it and sort any little niggles before Wednesday.
Down to the wire as always!!
Any road... Sign on is at 0730 so I'll leave my mums then and head over, get the sound levels checked and sign on. Driver briefing is at 0800 so by then I should have had a butty and a brew and met up with everyone.
EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

I think more than anything, knowing that my cousin has had a really good look over the car gives me way more confidence in it. That, hopefully, should translate to more fun on track knowing that if I do overstep my skill level I'll be okay.

Looks like I won't be running the Yoko's... Spacers are wrong I think!! only just though so I'll get them machined if they are out a bit.
Probably going to need the road tyres anyway if the weather is to be believed!!
Also, due to the weather, I noticed i'd fitted my wiper arms on the wrong sides... Just been and fixed that! Got all my stuff sorted ready for the day, just need to adjust tyre pressures and I'm good to go!

Weather report is getting better
How much out are the spacers? No chance of a quick nip to a machine shop and see if they will do a deal?
That reminds me I need new blades!
