Just some geek information from the mapper here... on 330cc injectors, running the stock 3bar fuel pressure reg, I tuned the wide-open-throttle map to around 13.1AFR all the way to the redline.

The maximum duty cycle I saw was around 65% (I think it was actually 68%). Even using the most conservative BSFC calculation, I get 162bhp calculated.

I think the biggest 'problem' with this car is that it could handle 220bhp chassis-wise, so 160-170bhp won't feel on the edge at all.

Also, if you're getting 220 miles from £25, even at £1.27 per litre that's 50mpg!!!

I love this car, and I am excited to see video's and hear relative laptimes from Cadwell!

Good luck Stew

Andy

Bet you love the noise? Yer re make your own fuel lines make it look better, standard ones really look bad with the bodies.

Yer are you use wideband lambda?

O right, so not getting wideband and a gauge so you can see what fueling like? So you can make sure it still fueling correctly?

Still is ask you dnt want bore wash, or under fuelling, alway nice to see what going on, just to keep an eye on things.

Remember with that ecu dnt think it works with the knock sensor might be wrong, but dnt think it dose.

Yer far eunf but always nice to see what happening that all, I dnt use a lambda but have a wideband with a gauge just to check and also a oil pressure guage to make sure there no oil problems.

The standard car runs a narrowband Lamba sensor. This only knows when the exhaust gas is 'rich' or 'lean' of stoichiometric (14.7:1 or lambda 1).

At full throttle the ECU isn't listening to it at all, all the ECU does is listen to the narrowband at idle to pass the MoT, at fast idle for the MoT and motorway cruise to give you 14.7

Hope that helps

Not talking about it controlling the map, and not talking about narrowband.

Saying have a wideband with lambda so you can see the AFR so know it still fueling correctly, as you know Andy my car dosent use the lamdba anymore at any point, it just link to the gauge to show me the fueling.

I was just saying, not saying it worth it, as the lc1 over heats way to fast at full throttle in 5th gear it will shut down after about 30 seconds.

I was just saying to him, maybe might be good to have a few gauges, like oil pressure and AFR just helps knowing everything ok really.

will be having a dyno run in about 3 weeks time for rough figures. but... if it pulls away from my friend vts james car (on track) well enough i may not get a figure. just to stop me geting hung up on silly numbers. i will have more of a feel for how fast it is this sunday at cadwell park.

as for seals. . . .removed cambelt, pullies and covers. picked out the old seals destroying them only to find i couldnt fit new seals without removing the ladders

cam seals removed, ladders cleaned again! , cleaned removed cams slid new ones back on. pissed off i bought new ones when i could of saved £30 and used the old ones.

theres a lad on here called blackie2k5 his advice is shit on fitting cam seals
