mk2 vtr air box
hey guys, car came with a K & N cone filter, sick of the heat soak and since day 1 wanted to get a standard air box.
Just wondered if someone could possibly post a pic of what a standard mk2 vtr air box looks like so I know what to get on ebay as they tend to be mk1s or don't offer enough info and gets more confusing when looking for panel filters and they have the wrong picture..

What's confusing is though as I'm looking at panel filters on ebay some are round and some are flat like normal ones which seem to be for the 90hp engine does the 98hp engine have the round one? or? Lol

I got a heat shield and a cold air feed but because of it was near the engine or near the manifold (cold air feed) I'm sure it just did nothing and just got hot and found the heat shield did nothing. If I could get a raceland induction kit which seem to look efective as well as cool lol I would but they seem to be impossible to find..

Right found a panel filter for a 01-04 engine http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=180294195765
so the 01-04 has a flat filter? but 00 or whatever has a round one lol?

Air boxes
In general, the MK1's (and the first few MK2's) have circular air boxes and filters and the MK2's have flat panel filters and square air boxes.
Btw does anyone know what connects to the hole (the one with the rubber seal) that's next to the intake on the box. Just as it seems to have no pipes leading to it.
