Raid zer0 y0...(Nerds needed.)
So, Ive just order 2 x Spinpoints,
plan is to run them in raid 0 for speeeeeeed.
However i currently have some random cheapy 250gb drive...
I dont wanna lose some files.
ie. Vids, music, pictures etc.
What happens, if I build the raid 0 then plug this drive in by SATA cable (obviously....) will i see it as a seperate drive or what?
Or would best bet be Plug it into a different comp, xfer my needed files to a External HDD then External HDD onto my machine with the raid?
Muchos Gracias....
Karl.

just plug the second drive in after you've done all the installing of windows etc and jobs a good en, it aint gonna eat ya files for no reason you'd have to actually choose to format the disk remember the extra hard drive wont be counted as part of the array.
@ next hardware upgrade i want some sammys in raid 0 too

y0! serious? Thanking you.
Raid 0 doesnt do Parity checking and there is no form of rescue/security with it, literally just works faster so I thought it'd be kinda weird if it was to just format my drive ~
hoho! Hope these come tomorrow/friday, will be busting out zee RAID.
2 x 160gb disks will show as 320gb even tho theyre in Raid 0 too right?
