hello all,
whats the best way to get more power from a 1.4i furio besides the backbox and induction kit.
i cant afford an engine transplnt so need to get as much as poss from the 1.4 engine.

to be honest mate your fighting a loosing battle tuning the 1.4 unless you have a bit of cash.

Best start is an enclosed induction kit and full exhaust system and manifold.

After that your either looking at a cam and a remap then throttle bodies. OR leave the cam and either turbo or supercharge it

not really worth it is it on the 1.4?

Strip out the interior and save a bit of weight instead!

yep strip it as well.

Its not worth tuning the 1.4 unless you have a fair bit of cash to spare look at GMC taiwanese(sp) race car, its was a 1.4 and it made 250 at the wheels!

throttle bodies.....

The last time i looked on the gmc web site the prices weren't clear for fitting throttle bodies

Roughly how much would that converstion cost...

no idea mate think the throottle bodies themselves are around 2 grand, then mapping and/or anything else you may want like high comp pistons wild cam etc... email or phone them and they will give you a price

Ouch didn't realise they were that expensive.....

Although it's half a turbo converstion i thought it was more like a grand or something.

if only i could afford a vtr/vts

i think i'll get the enclosed induction kit and just go for looks more than go. then i wont ave to go that fast coz everyone will wanna look at my bodykit and wheels

look at fast and furious show this weekend or santapod or max power there is a white Ax with vts lump running throttle bodies, 4 branch manifold and if sorted direct port nitrus injection, stripped out and ready to run.
