13" Laptops
I like this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/154992
Seems to rape the spec of most other laptops at a 13" display. Shame it ships with Vista
Any other suggestions. I dont want to spend £600 really. But don't want any of these sissy Atom processors. I want atleast a 10" display with 13 being the max.

That is awesome spec ive got the NC10 and tbh the atom processors arent too bad i just close the lid on myn so it goes to standby and its loaded in under a minute when you switch it back on.

Or you planning something slightly less serious?

Well the other half has an Advent with the Atom 270 and we also have an Acer AOA110 I think it is, with the atom 270, but going to a 1.6, or even 1.7 with the new 280 is a step backwards..
Bit late anyway, i thought fuck it and ordered!

there was a high spec samsung i was looking at before i got my current samsung
although slightly lower spec i opted for the 14.5" screen as i felt 13 was wayy to small (especially after being used to a 15.4")
mind you, this laptops decent, got 4gb ram, intel2 duo core, 320gb hard-drive etc etc
will try and fint the 13" i was on about

see 15 is too big for me. if i want it on a larger display I can hook it upto my monitor here because its a dual input 22" samsung display, or even my tele with HDMI, but for mobility vs usage I felt 13" was a good choice, 10" is slightly too small, 15" is a little bulky.
It seems that all the reviews contain the P8400 chip rather than the P8600, which is the 2.26ghz rather than the 2.4ghz I just bought. shame RAM is capped to 3.2gb, it says its 64bit which means it 'should' be a straight up 4gb. unless its only running a 32bit version of vista.
Is it worth selling vista? I have no use for it, it will be ripped straight out for a copy of LastXP to be loaded on.

not huge on computer knowledge so cant comment on half of that lol
fair point, if i had an external monitor i would have deffo opted for the 13". 15 is too big for me too, this 14" is perfect for my needs. but as i said, would go for 13 if in your situation
i havnt had a problem with vista tbh, i hear loads of bad things about it? then again, i only use this laptop for home use and not much more

It is a stripped out and modified version of XP.

As long as you use your valid XP key, its all legal too

Is that the code on the sticker on the tower?
So could I download that on Dual boot on my Laptop that came with Vista, and use the code from my old broken PC that had Xp on it?
