sorry, no i paid £299 for it new with motorstorm & resistance and a 2nd controller.

so its £110 less than original purchase value. I recon with games included id only get £250 for the lot which is only enough to get an elite. Private FTW??

You selling your PS3 Karl? Im still 50 / 50 .... simply because id never played xbox before.

he offered you £180 with console + original one controller though?

you still have another controller (15? + 2 games? 30?) so hes really offering you approx 220 quid for what you paid £300 for?

Ive owned my ps3 for less than a day, I was kidding

again, you dont break even with second hand games.
as soon as you buy a game, and walk out the store with it,
itll prob lose £10-£15 in trade in value.

Im forever trading in games I dont play anymore,
no point in having them if you dont intend to use them

Keep the PS3, much better than 360, + it's got loads to come (HOME, In-game XMB) not to mention the games (FFX, GT5, KZ2) etc which you won't get close to on 360.

360 would be a step back imo - not to mention the problems they have, the cost of xbox live and the limitation of the hardware.

on the plus side, more titles to choose from,
cheaper to initially buy,
xbox live is far greater,
more people own an xbox,
etc etc.

What problems does the 360 have? I'm assuming you mean RROD? With the new chipset that Daryl would be getting that problem has been greatly reduced so isn't really an issue anymore.

£40 a year for live isn't exactly the end of the world. Especially when even PS3 fans will confess that the experience on live is better than on PS3.

Killzone 2 does look rather good though. But then so does Gears of war 2 .

At the end of the day it all comes down to what games you want to play. Look at the upcoming titles for both consoles and you'll see what ones you fancy more. But most of the big games are gonna be available for both.

Daryl, give it 2-3 weeks because sony are launching the in-game XMB and tropheys for online play with the next update. If it's no better go and trade in.. might as well wait and see what it's like?
