.AVI files > play on DVD player?
I have some (legally acquired!) .AVI files waiting for me at home and from what i gather these may not play on most DVD players?
Anyone point me in the direction a decent converter to convert .AVI into whatever the hell plays on a normal DVD player?

Yes. Iv got some at home. Converts avi files to DVD then all you do is burn them in Nero.
Iv spent about 2 years trying to find the right software that works well and iv finally got some.
I will spend you the details later on when i get home

Leckie, you don't actually need to convert them... There is a section on Nero what will do it for you. That's what i use...

I take it if i use the software you mention above to convert from AVI to DVD tehn I can just burn this new file even using the XP burning facility? Just incase i have indeed eaten nero or whatever burning software i had?
