Anyone work out of the UK... Spain & live there?
Cut a long story short...
Got a lovely 3 bedroom villa with pool in Spain, grandparents live there for a couple of months of the year but they're awesome and will look after me & Tonts for the first few months to get things sorted.
I LOVE Spain and if I hadn't of passed my 11+ years ago my parents were going to move out there but I ballsed it up and passed aha.
They say the pay isn't too good for the hours but I've looked into it and for me who hasn't had a real job it seems actually brilliant!
For Tonts, just by looking at some jobs, hes actually better off in Spain than in the UK. So to me its an amazing idea.
Anyone work in Spain? Whats it like?
Obvilously got a job opportunity before moving out there but would you jump at the opportunity at potentially starting a new life?

In all seriousness yes, also my nan is a Spanish teacher so she speaks fluent and has taught me since I was young. I've been going Spain all my life and I use to speak fluent (when I say use to, I'm just abit rusty now)
I really wish I took my Spainish further and got something from it but I can easily pick up the language now well I'll have too aha!

Sounds nice, lot of guys i work with live in Spain, i think it's a popular destination of choice for brits. Personally, for me, there is no place like home.
A mate of mine went over there for a while and came back speaking fluently - language shouldnt be a problem if you are exposed to it.

Dolly, what part of spain do you have your villa?
Being a Pilot i get to fly out to spain atleast a couple of times a week. im lucky as i get to stay out there atleast once a month. i wished i could live out there sometimes its a completely different atmosphere and lifestyle. Trouble is would you get bored after a while out there, normally when you have lived somewhere for a while you get bored of the same old place.
I fly into alicante, almeria, barcelona, malaga, madrid, menorca in spain.
At the end of the day if you can pull it off, get jobs (as alot of jobs are seasonal) out there and be happy then the best of luck to both of you.

I live in Marbella! and i LOVE it, I've lived in and out of spain for 10/11 years..
I'm in London at the moment and i Hate it here, It's horrible compared to out there and I can't wait to get away! I feel like I have nothing left here anymore except a few family members! I won't be coming back here again, only when I NEED to
Spain > England.

I wouldn't move to Spain, not that our country is great but take the weather away and Spain is just a shithole. The Spanish don't even like the English, they are sick of them moving out there lol.
If I was you I would sell the house and invest it over here for a better way of life.

Actually this depends on different parts of Spain! I know LOADS of lovely parts of Spain, unless you're talking about Benidorm

I agree with all of this.
owning a property abroad is turning into the new chav thing to do.
Different if you actually live/work there but in Spain that's not going to be easy...

I too have grandparents in Murcia/Alicante. I must admit I wouldn't want to work and live in Spain, but do what my grandparents did and move out there for retirement.
But that's my honest opinion and as you say, you are pretty fluent with the language, and have a good idea of job opportunities. All I can say is, follow your head then your heart, and very best of luck to you.
