Drivers-side Driveshaft - Track use
Just stripping the front down and want to replace this to completely rule out my vibration issues when hot. (bearings, grease, bushes all bought too).
On eBay there are random prices of £48 to well over a hundred. Any recommendations?!
Also some people list a 1.4 vts driveshaft... which er... is a little worrying - or are they all the same?

Personally I use JR Driveshafts (google them) good quality and a good price...
I have fitted some of the ebay cheap ones and the CV knuckles are weak.

I'd actually bought an ebay driveshaft and it turned up being a J&R.
Although the reviews of them on the internet aren't good  oh dear. Praying this one holds out.

been using them on track for a while never had an issue... also recommended a few friends running a lot more power on different cars...
 never heard a bad thing about them but that's my experience...
ebay used to be full of "tron" shafts iirc... made of cheese

i had oem citroen shafts and after 6 outings the passener side (short one) made a bid for freedom out of the cup and left me loads of little bits of metal i could play with for hours :s

Aren't driveshafts basically a consumable service item on Saxos?
Mine never seem to last that long, I'm not a McDonalds car park hero either, I do actually drive sympathetically, and I don't normally give it dem launchezzz

im sure stew summers has some MAAAAAAAAAD ones in and not been a problem, this may be the future, i dont think they are cheap though...

I just hope I've cured my breaking vibration when the brakes are crazy hot with new decent grease too.
I'd use wooden driveshafts if it fixed it.

temple rally uprated ones used to be the best.. the company sadly went bust although I do see some new ones on ebay from time to time..

The carrier bearing is knackered on my old one - thinking thats the vibration solved.
Time will tell.
