Everytime I clean the wheels I give the calipers a quick clean as well ... Brake dust doesn't get a chance to build up because I do it at least once a week. Wipes off like Yates said ...

LOL ... Guru ...
Dont want a rag for them ... Soft brush, Suds and a little hot water will do the trick.

fergie about the number plate mate, I have looked on CraigsPlates but there is loads of different styles of lettering etc. If u could tell me the the following would be much appreciated:
Is it a Show Plate or Legal Number Plate
Is the Plate Material
-Acrylic (standard)
-Metal
-Self-Adhesive
Also what is the Font type?
Sorry to be such a pain mate just real like your plates think they make the car look a lot better than standard plates!

You'll be looking for Pressed metal plates in the French Design with F font iirc ..

Yeah that sounds about right ... Takes bloody ages to dry it properly. New Water Magnet/Microfibre drying towel is awesome though.

I've pondered over those towels before, but didn't have the cash to get them... will have to get a couple now as my other MF cloths are getting a bit raggy....
Saw your S parked up at work today as well

Yeah ... well maybe it was a blessing in disguise. I'd love something like a 307 for my motorway journeys to uni and back. What are the BHP and Torque figures like after the remap? Lowering will look awesome on it though ... not something you see everyday tbh.
|
No worries, love the new pictures - looks spotless.
I love the 307 for the motorway journeys, so comfortable. According to a few places you are looking at 140-145bhp with torque going from 180lb/ft to 229lb/ft - which should pretty immense, plus the 4-5mpg around town if I drive it good
Lowering is a must I think, as you say it's something you don't see.
Keep up the good work bud.
What kind of mileage is on it?

Defo worth getting them if you've got the money ... Seemed to do a better job than the Meguiar's Water Magnets also.
Yeah I was at work yesterday ... How come you were down that way?

Jesus those torques figures sound very impressive ... Definately worth the remap if it's going to give you better MPG around town jouneys as well.
Will look a different car once it's lowered ...
My S is believe it or not currently on 61,000 miles ... Not looking too bad for all those motorway miles it's been doing.

* Update *
Been needing to do this for ages and as I've got the week off University it was the perfect time to take the front wheels off and clean up the arches.
Pics tell the tale ...
Have to use ramps to get the jack under the car ... bit of a pain in the back side.
Before Pics ...
After ... much better but not perfect. Next job is to get round painting the suspension legs and the paint inside the arches ...
Wheels needed a clean ... Again not perfect but considering they haven't been cleaned in 6 year's i'd imagine, not too bad at all.
