Looks pretty good to me, as long as your TV & Xbox have HDMI ports your good to go.
You get what you pay for with these things so the more you can afford to splash the better (ish). £10 per metre sounds fairly good quality though, hopefully its not some overpriced ebay tat, does look nice & thick though!
1M is quite short, im assuming your xbox is beneath or next to the telly?

I wouldn't bother tbh. The quality of that will be piss poor.
The quality of any system is quite regularly determined by the quality of the cables - normally the weakest link.
I f you just want to get up and running it will be ok, but if you want a decent transfer with minimal interference/signal loss I would spend a little more.
To give you an idea I have a £100 QED HDMI lead going from my dvd to tv simply for picture transfer. Audio is dealt with by a seperate cable.
Spending a little on cheap cables is false economy imo

agreed, my mate has an £80 cable for his ps3 and he says its alot better than his cable that came with it, tho £80 for a cable is excessive!, but he works in comet and cables etc dissapear alot

MONSTER probably, i've spent some money on their cables over the years but they are always top notch. Not willing to blow £100 on it though
£50 is about my maximum & i need one longer than 2M

QED mate. Some of the best cables on the market at a decent price.
http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...roduct_ID/3072
That's nothing. My speaker cable works out at £30/meter and I've got a £100 audio lead from the dvd to amp as well as about £500 worth of "other" cables and interconnects connecting the system.
At the end of the day there is no point having good quality equipment if it's going to be let down by poor performing cables connecting it all.
Even my sky box has a £50 scart lead and a £50 digital audio cable

Regular monitor = VGA
DVI is digital and has been around for decades (well not quite, but years & years ) offering "high definition" quality to PCs who use their DVI ports. DVI cables only carry a video signal.
The HD revolution has very cleverly got a DVI cable, combined it with an audio cable & made a new plug shape & then spent lots of money marketing it like its new technology.
The real revolution is the broadcasters, consoles makers, dvd makers etc finally producing things to cater to the HD market.
So yeh in short avoid VGA & use HDMI or HDMI/DVI combinations to get the most from your HD devices!
