Default need a base unit

guy I fuggered my graphics card yesterday.

now AGP cards appear to cost a bomb as they've given way to PCI express. so I need a PCI express graphics card.... but wait! I don't have any PCI express ports! so I need a new motherboard as well! so I need to get a new Processor, which means new type of RAM, SATA hard disks as opposed to my IDE...

raghhhhhhhh fucking computers.

Recommend me the best value base unit I can get. where can I get them from?

I don't need a sound card (got my x-fi), I don't need monitors or keyboard or mouse.

I think the Dell £440 one on sale at PC World isn't too bad. I'm sure the PC gurus will come in and shoot me down.

Agreed, eBuyer is good.

Another good option is to buy something with say, a quad core, 4gb ram, 500gb-1tb hard drive, with a piece of shit/onboard graphics card, then just switch it out for a good graphics card.

This works out great as you can get this set up dirt cheap especially if there's offers on (there often is on eBuyer).
