how much would i be looking at for an adapter to make a canon lens fit a samsung?

why not just buy a decent canon body? 
as samsung are new i doubt there is an adaptor

oh noes.
i wish i had bought a canon, purely for availability of lenses, im perfectly happy with the picture quality the samsung produces though.

yep you can.
Yours is a Pentax Mount if im not mistaken although I know there are two types of pentax mounts available.... as your camera is proprietary Pentax, you might be better off searching for 'Pentax XX to Canon EF adaptors'
where 'XX' is the specific type of mount
No doubt ebay will yield the goodies

i know you did.. but i dont remember why, but i think i was wanting a camera in a hurry, and the place we looked at didnt have the 30 
and you're right, its a pentax mount. but how do i find out what should go in the place of XX?

theres two... an M42 and a K. no idea which yours is.
