If you want models who will work for a free cd with images its great, espec as a few will have experience with other photographers and will help with poses etc..

that was the setup we were using.
580 in the umbrella
sb-28 in the softbox
550 in the top left (kicker)
430 out of view behind model illuminating the wall (when it felt like working)

Looks good did you have any light that was on permanent or just using the flashes? How do the brellys and softboxes fit onto the flashes?
One more quick question lol, whats the difference between the ubrella and softbox when your using the umbrella in that way?

the umbrellas and softboxes do pretty much the same thing which is to diffuse/soften the light the only differences is the umbrellas fold down making them far more portable.
the other difference will be the shape of the highlight captured in the eyes. umbrellas also come with different tints, white, silver and gold
the set up above isnt that disimilar from that studio kit in terms of the results you will get. one good thing about proper studio flash lights is that they have a modeling light which is perminately on. the brightness of which being related to the power of the flash
