Whats it going to be better at in the club. The glass will but the camera will generally only make more of a difference with sports.
higher FPS/better AF
I might reset the body anyway, as all the Custom functions/focus settings were set up by someone else for the way he shoots

isnt it more capable of handling high ISOs as well?
can you reset it yourself or does it have to go ff to canon

I dont shoot at high isos really, the 1D MII is marginally better than the 30D etc.. But its not like the 5dMKII or 1dMKIII which can shoot at 6400 for example.
I can reset it myself, really im expecting it to be a number of weeks before my images really pop with it as its a whole different keelt of fish to my 30D if im honest. I wasnt expecting it to be that different.

im expecting it to be a fair while until i get used to the 20 when i get it.
fair enough moving up the model range, but a different make...

Totally different set up to the 30D, like really different. So really unsual to begin with even after RTFM.
No I hadnt used one before as I dont know anyone with a 1 series shooting in clubs, and ive not been to any motorsports events for ages etc....

awesome buddy that looks ace, which model is that one the lower megapixel / fast frame rate or the slower frame rate / higher megapixel.
im really tempted by a 5dmk2 but im a bit skint at the moment after having to fork out over £250 on stuff for uni projects in the last week

1gig extreme IIIs are in atm (or 2gig ultra IIs) got 2x 2gig extreme IIIs on order + 2x 2gig SD cards to use as the cameras back up system.
Honestly 8.5FPS rocks my world, when i shot athletics last weekend I really did realise you want to spray and pray with sports, as theres so much you can miss.
