A few from Dubai
If any of these are crap, I blame it on not knowing my new camera
I will start with one of my favourites
Dhow on Dubai Creek
Dubai Skyline
Burj al Arab
Dubai Clock Tower (Designed by my Grandad...)
All comments are welcome, positive or negative!

Haha i was thinking that too. I assumed it was Ryan, not you i had spoken to about it. Must have been both
I still need to read the manual though to work out how the bloody video works

It's garbage - AF is soooo slow. If you're not using a USM focus lens you can hear the focus motor...
So it's best if you stick it on a tripod when you're filming yourself in the buff (assumed that's probably the only thing you'd do with it) and don't try to move too much.

sweet welcome to the 7d club takes a bit of messing to get used to it doesnt it as the menu system is completely different from the other canon models.

yeah manual focus and decent stability like tripods, glide rails and rigs are your only option really

Yeah there are so many more options on this that the 20D! I like the menu layout though. Just need to learn where everything is.
I'll bear that in mind about the video! I tried it while i was out there and realised how useless the autofocus was on it

My tips...
Use highlight tone priority in bright conditions or when using flash. looks fab.
Set the tracking response to slow, it just spazzez about otherwise savaging the focus motor.
Get an external mic if you're semi serious about making the odd movie on it.
Get a grip (for the camera, not in life)
That's about it from me.

i bought a 7" screen for mine and it makes so much difference for focusing when in movie mode. I want to make a diy matte box and follow focus

I reckon the only times i would use it would be at a motosport event, so wont have any need for an external mic.
Ill have a look at those settings though. Cheers oh masterful one
Jim, that looks cool!! I would never use video enough to warrant that though. Haha

Holy crap does dubai have some smog issues?
Glad getting on ok with it. I've used a 7d for filming and it's a piece of piss, just use mf.

The smog was unreal on that day. We have never noticed it before in all our time there but it was so obvious that day. I'm glad it showed up on the photos as that was one of the points in taking them
