I can't wait to get it sorted and on the road! Just had confirmation that a final chunk of commission should be landing in my bank on Friday so I should be able to get the insurance sorted. Then I need to get it to my cousins for the mot and some final bits then she's good to go!

Yeah, I'm booked on at Oulton park on the 31st along with a few other lads off here. It's going to be an ace day even if it does piss down! I've always wanted to drive the circuit ever since I watched the btcc there years ago.

Harv. I'm well chuffed I finally got one. It needs a lick of paint but as you know, with this project I'm not too fussed about looks. Function over form.
The list of jobs isn't going down at the minute as I'm waiting on the dash, spacers and some dry daylight hours to sort the paint in the footwells out. Once the paint is done, the wiring needs doing then the dash can go in. After that the cage can be marked up, spreader plates welded in and it all bolted up. Then the seats and harness can go in and she's done.
Sounds simple when I put it that way!
Trackday - 4 weeks today!!

I know. :-/
Should be fine as long as I can get a decent bit done on Sunday. Then next weekend I have a big family do BUT I'm hoping my uncle could trailer the car to his garage for me then the following weekend u could get down and finish it off. They can mot it and I can get the tax from the postoffice across the road!
Well... That's the plan anyway!

Well, I didn't get half as much as I wanted done today BUT, I'm happy with the progress I made.
My mate came over to help me sort the cage out. We managed to get it fitted as best as we could then drilled all the holes for the feet. We then had to take the cage out again to check the holes and re-drill them to the correct diameter for the bolts. I then managed to get the primer sprayed on the floor. It should be nice and dry for tomorrow and hopefully i'll be able to get a coat of red on it before it goes too dark!!
I didn't get chance to get the dash at the weekend so that hopefully will be picked up tomorrow or Tuesday evening and fitted after the floor is all painted.
Once the dash is back in, the cage will get a quick lick of paint and get fitted, followed but the seats being done and harness clipped back in.
Then all that is needed is the windscreen doing and were good to go.
I just need to beg/borrow/steal a centre section for MOT time and it "should" fly through.
My cousin (MOT tester) is coming up next weekend so I'll get him to check it all over and make sure nothing will catch me out.
I also need to ring Ollie at SkyInsurance to get my policy started as well. it's all systems GO!!!
Cage fitted for lining up and drilling holes:
Cage back out and floor painted:

Nice one Rory, you working in Runcorn today? Might be able to get over after work.
Sam, I have a cat and a back box so just need the centre section. Is it a mk1 section?

Just got the spacers ordered for the track wheels and some thread locker just to make extra sure the stud conversion doesn't undo it's self!!
Doing well today!

Well, had a bit of a cock up with my cash card so I've not been able to get some more paint yet. Neither have I had time to get the Dash. Think I might just leave the Saxo one in for the timebeing. Need to get a shift on next week. Got a busy non-car related weekend coming up so I need to make sure my evenings are planned and go well so I can lob the car on a trailer on Friday night then take it to my uncle's in Bedford for him to check it over and MOT it.
Well excited!
Oh, New spacers arrived and the cage fitting bolts. Pics later on.
