I've got the eye bolts fitted so that's fine. I could do with it at some point in the next few weeks so if your free let me know where to meet you and i'll come for it.
Did I put the 16th feb? I'm sure it's on the 10th Feb. Get yourself down there, it should be a good day with loads of different cars coming.

Just read through all 39 pages, love the project. Those aero catches for the bonnet are great, it'll make it great for working on in the front end, saves it getting scratched.
I'm looking to do something similar with my VTR and i may be sending you a few PM's asking questions.

Cheers dude. The catches do make life easier for getting the front off. Their a bit tricky to figure out but once you do it's simple.
Today I went and picked up this:
Freebies make my week Going to have this for the driver side then the other harness will go on the passenger side.
Just waiting for the Eurocarparts man to deliver my stuff then I can make a start on getting the bits and bobs all sorted.

It is good. If I ever have to take it off the road again at least I know I won't rip any more bumpers to bits!! This one is a bit fooked already but I do want to get a few of the panels replaced so it looks as nice as it goes.

Euro Car Parts have just delivered the bits.
Just need to order some oil and anti freeze then I have the stuff to rebuild the car. Guess i'd best get draining it and stripping stuff out.
Do I take the engine out or not..... hmmmmmmm.

Booo.... Euro car parts are stupid!!
lol
Sent me a 1.1 driveshaft then when I went to the shop to get it swapped, they wanted to charge me near £200 for the correct one! After using there phone to ring the online people to sort it out, I lost my rag a bit and the branch manager stepped in to calm things down. Fortunately, when we looked up the part, I was able to show them that the one I had was indeed from a 1.1 and then showed him what the VTS shaft should look like. He agreed it was a catalogue error and has arranged for the correct shaft to be sent to the branch on Monday for me to collect.
Hopefully they don't cock it up again!!
With all this running about I've not had time to do much and I'm knackered now from arguing with the retarded phone guy. I'll try tomorrow to get the struts, wishbones and ARB off as I'm going to clean them all up. Struts need stripping ready for sending for the bearings to be changed then they will see a lick of paint also.

W00T!!
Missus went and got the replacement shaft today from ECP.
Just need to get some more pennies for the Engine and gearbox oil then I can get cracking! Hopefully the weather is nice for the weekend so I can get some work done.
Went back to work today so anything that needs doing is going to have to be done by floodlight or at the weekend.

Just a quick update.
I've managed to get the struts stripped off and ready for new bearings to be pushed in. I'm going to strip them right down as well to fit the solid top mounts and give the dampers etc a check over. The driveshafts are ready to be refitted and the service kit is all sat here waiting to be fitted. New plugs oil and fuel filter and oil. I decided to get just cheap Halfords oil as I might tear the engine out soon to have it all tarted up and sort the engine bay.
My thinking is that with the rolling road day in a few weeks I don't want to get caught out and have no engine in the car and no time to sort it!
While it's all in bits I'm going to get the wishbone rear mounts fitted to my good set of wishbones and see if I can get the polybushes out of the old ones and transfer them over as well. I'll then have nice and tight wishbones.
I've also got the manifold off to clean up the front of the block and get all the gunge off it. No plans to paint it or anything as i'll do that when and if I pull the engine out. I've got to redo a bit of the heat wrap then that can be fitted also.
Fingers crossed I can get the struts apart no problems and get everything cleaned up and looking a bit nicer ready for refitting and getting back on the road.

Trying to be dude. It's hard trying to balance the time correctly but i'm not getting in too much trouble for working on car stuff yet. Plus, Nic knows it means a lot to me to get this all sorted ready for the meet.
Got a lot to do still but I should have it all done in time if things go according to plan.

What topmounts you got??
How do you intend to fit solid mounts to standard springs cause itll raise the car like 25mm on most the only way i can think to do it :/

Think I put a pic up somewhere. I'll get one later but they are the same as the one you had where you need to notch the bolt hole.
Don't tell me that now!
I was thinking of seeing if there is a cheap coilover setup about I could fit but no money means it would be shore.
