You log in on a blue screen, or does a blue screen with loads of numbers etc come up and your laptop restart?

so now answer the question, is the screen you log in on blue, or does a blue screen come up with lots of numbers etc, like errors, then the laptop restart?

Windows repair / fresh install
If you want to keep your porn/important files - Link your hard-drive to another working computer as a 2nd drive.. and take your files off..

Could be hardware problem or an operating system re-install needed. Have you made any changes to the computer recently.

This, take in apart and see if you can remove any dust. It's been very hot weather wise recently.

Operating system re-install is the first option to save on any unnecessary costs. Failing that I would bet your HDD is on its way out.

could try and see if safe mode works, if it does then it most likely a driver issue but then finding the specific one could be a ball ache so I would reformat.
There may well be a partition on the drive that allows for easy factory resetting that requires a key press combination at bootup.

You just plug it in mate Then change the jumper on the HDD to slave.
But as you said - you don't have anything on it - not much point
As said, try safe mode (usually button bash F8 or F12 or DEL on start up) To get the options to pick 'safe mode'.
If it starts - then the drivers or start-up files need repairing with the repair disk.
If it doesn't start - try another HDD - Think i've got 3 or 4 lying around..
