Default External Tial wastegate question

Okay im just about to buy my wastegate but im looking i have an option of pressures.

It says these are available

*0.2 bar
0.3 bar
0.4 bar
0.5 bar
0.6 bar
0.7 bar
0.8 bar
0.9 bar
1.0 bar
1.1 bar
1.2 bar
1.3 bar
1.4 bar

Im assuming that is the MAX amount of pressure it can hold or is that the amount it will always hold.

I have a gizmo controller too which iirc can control 14psi. So will a 1.4bar one make more sense then use the gizmo to control what extra boost ill be running that exceeds 1.4bar?

Number normally refers to opening pressure. If you wish to run more then the preset you can used a boost controller with electronic solinoid.

The spring pressure is the lowest pressure it will run, even with an EBC you wont be able to run lower than 1.4 bar which is very high

You can run higher pressure than the spring but normally only double what the spring pressure is, i run a 1 bar spring so i can up to 2 bar through the ecu

Still a little confused.

Im guessing that with a 28rs and wanting it peaked. so 300bhp ill need 24lb of boost minimum? i did change my order to a 1bar spring not that the spring cant be changed easily enough.

so let's work through a scenario if you dont mind?

1bar if boost. so 14.5 as i prefer to work in lb.

the wastegate will hold it on boost until 14.5lb then "let go"

the boost controller i have will need to hold the other 10lb to create the 24lb i will need? correct?

Sweet, the controller can handle 50psi apparently so should hold the final 10-14
