New lens - Canon EF70-200 L IS USM f2.8
I want to compile a few photos together over the next few days, as Im starting to get to grips with my new lens.
After getting my camera back from barrett and recovering from a serious hangover, I managed to couple the lens to the body at about 6pm this evening. 
It had just stopped raining and the sky was pretty dark, but I was desperate to fire off a few shots and see how the new lens performed.
Considering the poor subject matter and dull lighting, I was amazed by the clarity!! I know I'm going to have lots of fun with this lens!
I have a few motorsport events in mind over the next few days - so hopefully I'll have some more examples available to share soon.
Three pics below... no real thought went into them, basically just point and shoot. Two were taken at full focal length, all in my back garden... with no tripod. (wanted to test out the image stabilisation with my beer shakes  )

i dont know much about photography but the pictures look very clear and and the focus on the pigeon is perfect

clucking bell the clarity on the 2nd shot - green leafs is amazin..... i wouldnt mind seeing the full size version like
How far away were you from the flying rat simo?

Bah, should have got a macro lens 
Looks amazing, amazing quality! I have never bought a proper Canon lens before, always Sigma, and I have the kit lenses, which are good apparently!
BUT having seen that, I am tempted
