Default Source Coolant Pipe replacement

Hi Guys, I have a 1.1 Saxo. For the last couple days I've been having a bit of a coolant leak. Finally found the source of it today.

The source seems to be the crimp below the right rear engine bleed point for the coolant system. Just below the solid 90-degree bend.

I've had a bit of google trying to locate a replacement with no luck. Does anybody know what the pipe might be called?

There's a bit of soft pipe on there, it's probably hardened with age or maybe just needs nipped up on the clamp.

There's different hoses for various years, some of them come moulded as part of the "water inlet manifold" and some are fitted with hose clamps, so all you would need is a piece of pipe the correct diameter to replace it.

If the hard pipe is cracked, you will need that welded. As far as I know there's no replacement unless you find one second hand.

Would I be correct in assuming that it wasn't you that's put sealer on there. Someones been in there with the pinky goo already!

Sounds like it's leaking from that joint no? It's got an O ring for a seal, it's probably needing renewed.

That's the top part, I thought you meant the bottom. That's one of the heater matrix hoses! Again you might struggle to find one new, but you can use normal hose and hose clamp it to the lower half and it'll seal that way.

Smile

The pink stuff is my coolant, Turns out there was a slight leak from the crimped end of the pipe. So got a bit of pip and hose clamps to sort that.

Turns out there was also another leak coming from the waterpump seal.

New water pump and timing belt for good measure has been done and the leak is now sorted.
