Thought I would bump to see what is going on in Toad land but also to ask;
Have you got your Recaro's sidemounted and then on a sliding subframe or do you have seat rails?

Yep...
I've been considering leaving to the UAE for a few years now. And somethings which recently happened during my holiday in Miami has given me the wake up call to just do it. I can't just drop everything and leave, I need to find a job out there first, one which will sponsor me to actually stay out there. With the economic crisis hitting the UAE quite hard, it's not going to be a walk in the park, that's for sure, so I might be here for quite some time. On the other hand, I might get luck and find a job soon and be gone within a few months.
When people asked me about my views where with regard to what I'd be leaving behind, the car forum / scene was one of my biggest losses. I'll miss you guys a lot...
Don't be surprised if you see a for sale thread up in the not so distant future.

Its a great car, saw it on the rollers last year.
Somebody buy it and carry on, don't let another quality project go to 'waste'.
Cue the bids of low prices for expensive parts

I had a bad feeling I was going to come back on to see some sad replies.
Sounds like bad news but a life changing decision like that is nothing to be frowned at.
Sounds like a great adventure Toad, I lived abroad when I was younger in Saudi and Belgium and it was the best experience of my life, if I ever get the chance to do it again I will jump at it.
