Standard MC mate. I'm using GTI6 brakes at the moment with the standard MC and it's fine for me.
Acceleration should improve in theory, as more energy will put through the driveshafts, instead of rocking the engine... How will it feel different mate?

its not a hard swap tbh but just means getting lines made
simpler that swapping all the cars lines like i origonally thought id have to
also reports later on if the saxo non pas fits a 106

Not sure mate. It's all in the hands of the Ex- F1 machanic.
I've bought a 106 no-PAS rack mate.

I don't know how I missed it...
Yes mate, as soon they're off (28th) they're yours. Get them fitted, and if everything works out nicely, you can pay me for them.
Thanks for the offer mate. Know anything about lower strut braces?

Excellent. There's SO much engine rock with my current / stock mounts it's mental. Can't wait to get them fitted.
I fitted the upper strut brace today, and also popped on the new filter. I can't believe how much better the car pulls wth that new filter on. I think I well over-sprayed the previous one with the wrong dirt retention stuff. Oops. The brace was a tad tricky to get on, as I had to squeeze my chassis together (both feet on the wing!) pulling the brace, as it was a bit tight. Got there in the end. I had a gander underneath to fit the lower strut brace, but I wasn't too sure if I should be undoing the wishbones when the car is only jacked up one side. Can anyone share some experience here? What's the best way to do this without a ramp? Even just with the upper brace on, the car felt nice in the turns.
Cheers!

Sweeeeeet! klkl hopefully they will be alrite, i got the gti6 MC already in a box in my car so going to wack that on at same time for maximum improvement
I dont, as when i got my upper the car was lower and i was having problems with the BTB manifold hitting bumps lol. So now im on the pugsport setup I might just have to invest in one lol. But iirc i read somewhere that its best fitting the lower bar when the car is sat level on the ground, but isnt to hard to do. Il see what i can find out mate

you just get underneath and lake the nuts off the lower arm bolts, but leave the bolt in as the lower arm does have to come off. then put the strut brace in there.
should take about 30 mins maximum

Sam what brace is that? As i take it isnt a omp 1? And is that a standard manifold aswell, as my BTB hangs low lol

Thanks for the guide link Finch! But as 2 others have mentioned, there's no room to get at the nut. I can use a spanner to take the nut off initially, but to attach the nut back on with the brace in place, I need to use a ratchet as the brance has about a 1" lip to it, but when I try using a ratchet, the back of it just hits the wishbone so I can't do it...

if you look at this pic (sorry it wont let me use img codes with it for some reason)
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...aspossible.jpg
then cant you put a spanner on the nut, so the spanner is going upwards, and then use a ratchet on the other side to do it up?

just wedge a pry bar or screwdriver on the nut side and undo the bolt head..

I've had to call it a day. I simply don't have the right tool for the job.
Danny, it's not getting the nut off that's the problem, it's getting it back on with the strut in place that is. Will get the garage to do it with all other bits come the 28th...
