The air leak code is interesting, as that would cause It run rough. Try spraying some cleaner at the inlet/head mounting face, any joins in the inlet manifold. Air leaks can cause engines to run fine on idle/cold, but when things get warmer and joints expand they can become more of a problem.
U should have got the codes off my ecu, See what that said. (not that they are any use most of the time)

Obvious i know but sometimes these things are forget. If you get bodies, are you using original fuel rail newho?
|
Might as well use the stock fuel rail. That's one of the plus points of the ATP's.
Ya, done all that cleaner fluid shit.
Oddly enough, I'm sure the car started to run rougher after I sprayed this shit into the TB... Really potent stuff the chap at EuroCarParts couldn't speak highly enough of.

Right now...
Ran the code reader on my ECU first (as it was already in) and it came up with the usual DTC: P0606 - ECM / PCM processor malfunction. That was it... So the misfire DTC and the air leak DTC hadn't come back since they were cleared at the RR.
Oli's ECU threw up 2 DTCs: P0300 - Random / multiple cylinder misfire detected and P0141 - Ox Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
This is interesting, as I used to get that error about the Ox sensor back in the early days when I took the cat out and tucked up the lambda sensor with a cover. Hmmm
I'm going to clear the alerts on Oli's ECU and see if it misfires again. If it does, I'll turn off the ignition to clear the limp mode and see if I can continue without it coming back on. Will report back!

OK, I'm done.
I gave Oli's ECU another run. Didn't take long for the EML to come on again. hehe. I gave it some stick and eventually it went into limp mode again. I got out of this simply by turning off the ignition and back on again.
There's certainly some differences between the two ECUs. Sadly, it didn't solve the judder issue around 2000 - 2500rpm. The first thing i noticed was that Oli's ECU seemed to idle quieter. It was also smoother on the throttle when pulling out of junctions (as an example) as the pedal wasn't quite as sensitive. However, on WOT the power delivery was much more gradual. It didn't feel as quick as my ECU, not by a long shot. My ECU brought the power in much earlier in the rev range and overal much more aggresively.
I was going to keep Oli's ECU in to drive home, but the EML wouldn't stop flashing and it got on my tits, so I put m ECU back in. I also cleared my DTC, the P0606 and oddly, it hasn't come back on. Normally does after just a few mins of driving. The car felt half decent coming back in too... Ho hum............

Some good news
I've just got back from Pug1Off and Matt has given the car the all clear for das ring trip!
I've also sorted everything out for the engine work which will be taking place in roughly 3 weeks from now. Can't wait!!! Should be looking at a genuine 185 - 190bhp!

did he find any issues? The low down jumpiness when light on the throttle I would put to the big valve head as the airspeed in the induction will be slower than a thinner ported head.
Throttlebodies add a whole lot of low down torque and better cylinder filling than your current setup so could completely eliminate some of the horrible traits.

Nothing really. He didn't know... But he didn't think it was anything to be overly concerned about.

Very likely. But it doesn't make sense why it's started nearly a year after the BV head went in...
