Bad start today!
Its been windy all last night and theres debris all in the road.
I hit a branch and its pulled my lower boost host off and ive dragged it along into a layby!
Got out in the pissing rain and moved it out the way only to restart the car and as I started driving, my oil pressure light and handbrake light came on!
Pulled over again and now waiting for my boss to recover me!
Only a mile away from work!!

Had a quick look at it at work today.
I have no oil pressure, so it will be staying on the ramp at work until I can whip the sump off on friday.
Hopefully its just a blocked pickup or something simple. (Wishful thinking)

That sucks... Good job you didn't run it too long with no pressure!

Yeah, perhaps the tree bent or kinked a pipe, or pulled one off?

it cant have hit anything inside the sump.
Just pulled the lower hose off the turbo and that jammed under my exhaust.
As i freed that off, and went to carry on to work, the light came on.
im wondering if i used too much sump sealer and some has fallen off and blocked the pickup.

Yeah perhaps...
I meant an oil pipe outside lol! I donno how you have your setup but on my RS there are oil pipes outside going to and from the Turbo... I've had them come off before and caused those type of issues...

Unsure what to do with it now.
The oil pump failed, something inside had broken
Looks like i didnt turn it off in time. It killed the big end in No1 cylinder so i replaced the mains and big ends again to be sure it was ok.
I Put it all back together, started it up and thought it was all ok.
The engine ran, then stalled, started it again and it stalled, so i started it again, and it idled ok for about 15-20 seconds then stopped.
Now it wont turn over and the Engine is locked up solid now. Cant even turn the crank over with a breaker bar.
Just fed up and pissed off with it at the moment, Not sure what to do with it now.
I dont want to break it as ive come this far, but i have no time to work on it anymore, im back at work tomorrow, although my boss said its fine for me to keep it at work on the ramp until its sorted, but havent got the time to look at it.
Just considering my options atm. So far ive come to this-
1) Use my previous engine, buy some forged pistons, send the bottom end off to be rebuilt, Crank re-ground ect. And fit it when it comes back
2) Been looking at buying another car, Too many ups and downs (more downs) with this so far, as i need another car to get about in now.
Big descisions to make

yeahh, its a bit demoralising.
I might have to ring around a few places for a price on an bottom end rebuild with forged goodies.
Love driving the saxo, its such good fun even though its uncomfortable!

was the engine running standard internals? why not just buy another engine and slap the turbo bits on that?

I feel theres nothing to be gained putting another engine in and 'slapping' bits onto it.
If I get my other block rebuilt, I can then put forged pistons in it just for extra piece of mind.

easy solution to this buy a low mileage 98bhp vtr engine change the cambelt on it etc then put that in and map it up on that low boost enjoy it whilst you build another engine on the side. Cost of that will be £100 tops for the engine just the pain of changing everything over, it's the easiest and most cost effective way to get sorted.

Found another engine locally to me for £30. Picking it up tomorrow and will fit it soon hopefully.
There is a forged bottom end in the for sale section on here, just waiting for a reply from the guy.
