Hello i have a mk1 saxo from 1997 vtr edition now i want to swap my engine from a 1.6 8v to a 1.6 16v i have a 16v engine ecu and loom from 1999

both are single plugs ecu. the 8v is whit a code transponder, the 16v is whit a transponder in the key . i already unlocked it but now the big question is: my old loom is a dual small plug and my new loom is only 1 plug can you guys help me out

Your 16v engine is what's called a "crossover" engine loom. it has a later 3 plug ecu "Big plug" on the body, but the engine loom is the same as the smaller 2 plug body.

I would use your 1997 loom on the 16v engine, and extend the wiring to reach the MAP sensor etc, then simply plug in the 16v ECU.
