PS3 Problem...

Ok Playing Race Driver: Grid and it crashed so tryed the PS button on the controller to no avail. Left it to see if it would read again not happening. In the end i turned it off and back on again. At first it would read the disc but not play it now it wont read any discs :/ Its only 6 months old.

Anybody had any similar problems?

Heard about this problem, can't you start the system without a disk in, go to the main menu and format like you can on PSP's, not sure whether this will resolve the issue though - if not then I'd get in contact with Sony. It'll still be under warranty.

they get hot quickly if not ventilated, and crash, you may have fudge it but as above if you can start do a format incase it was a damanged download etc

mate i wouldnt even bother trying to fix it or sorting the problem if its doing that after 6 months take it back and get a new one will be under warrenty.

Yeh think thats what im going to do but i could try formatting it now they cant refuse to change it just cause ive tried formatting it can they?

Didnt think so Right fuck it its pissed me off now im just gonna format it see what happens lol Ive backed it all up so shouldnt be a problem.

Had the same problem if it still dont work phone sony they send a new 1 and you just give the courier yours and they give you the new 1 simple

It's probably due to overheating if not well ventilated like most gaming machines.
Or it might be the fact of any software updates you have done recently etc.. format should do the trickt etc. might just be a dodgy download or install.

Rang sony. The guy was very helpful and i should have my new PS3 on wednesday

Just a straight swap as itts still under warranty
