Pc prob
just installed windows on my bros pc restarted it managed to get past the xp screen but once its done that the screen just goes black normally it would go on to the log on screen but its not doing that its just black
Any suggestions?

Had a similar problem before where my XP would boot up but after the loading screen would just go black, only solution I found was to stick to windows CD in, force restart and format the system. Only other thing you could try is start up the machine, go into your BIOS and boot in safe mode (I believe that's the correct way) and then system restore to last week - see if that works if not then formatting will resolve the issue. Hope that helps.

should have use the recovery console on the windows xp cd... that would fix any errors that occured during installation. but who cares... you fixed it!
