Unhappy horn doesnt work :(

basically, my mate tried to change my cigarette lighter because he knows how to (apart from the fact he didnt know how to do it..) and since then my horn hasnt worked! my cigarette lighter has 3 wires hanging out of it. i think thats the light, the negative and the earth? so none should be the horn right? checked fuses and there all fine, however horn STILL isnt working.
anyone know how i can fix it?

thanks! cookie

I'm pretty sure these run on the same relay, so have look at the relays behind your fuse box maybe?

I used to have this problem, when I plugged a 3 way adapter in ciggy lighter, and my fuse would blow, rendering the horn dead also. I just upped the volts in the fuse by a slight margin, try it it might work. If not best bet is what Karlb1 said.

Might be a stupid question, but considering the corresponding fuse is IN the wires are live, I'm guessing yes sue to the fact that you have put electrical tape around them? If your unsure I would say make sure by checking with a multimeter.

I have a similar problem, bought my saxo a little while ago, (it had just passed its MOT) anyway Hord didnt work, so I changed the fuse. Horn worked twice then didnt work, so I thought there was a problem with the wiring, cigerette lighter wont work either,

Today whilst driving down the road I tried the horn, it worked a few times, then stopped working totally. so not sure now what to check 1st

A multimeter basically tests the electrical status of a current, so the wattage, the volts and all that, so for example it might be live but is it producing the correct power outage. That might be a cause but go the other route first.
