I don't think it's really the 1 week waiting time, it was the lack of communication where he had PM'd him and seen the guy had been online since but hadnt replied to any PM's
But unknowingly to him the guy couldn't view his PM's so knew nothing about them, just a mix up unfortunately although if i didn't have time to post i would have alerted the buyer to let them know the score

This is what worried me, but i have jumped the gun far too early, have heard back from Goldsax and have understood that he has started a new job and hasnt had the time to post.

Great isn't it? Another case of, 'yeah i'll take your money, but i'm too busy to send your goods'.
I'll guarantee if the buyer hadn't paid after a week the seller would be pissed off.

that's a good way to sell. Unfortunately some dont have that ability, however keeping the buyer informed is all thats needed. I'm too busy, is a fucking piss poor excuse.

Thats in an ideal world, in reality some of us havent got the time to send something hours after payment.

Simple answer to that is then - dont take the payment.
If you can take a payment off someone in a few minutes, you can get the parcel sorted or get it sent off shortly after.

Because sometimes people pay at odd times/you need to be able to confirm payment.
It's not as cut and dry as some people believe espec as I can understand some people are on shift work. It's unreasonable to expect postage the next day all the time but the seller should notify the buyer of this.

im afraid were going to have to agree to disagree on your first comment. If the seller is on shift work, tell the buyer that he will have to wait a few days or hours or whatever untill i can take the payment. If you cant send the goods or sort out the goods at maximum the next day then dont take the payment.

MAXIMUM NEXT DAY stupidist thing i heard. i work 2 jobs starting at 4am and not finishing till 6-7pm sometimes, when i sell stuff i tell buyer i will always post within the week depending on when i can get to post office or when i can get a courior. dont even think most internet companys post maximum next day, as usually takes processing time

Plus there are so many messers on here these days that buyers will take payment straight away or probably will never here for the buyer ever again.
Everyone seems to demand next day delivery these days. Sadly, some members have lives outside of sax-p which prevents them posting items straight out. Thats life. If people want goods immediately then perhaps they should go to a shop instead of getting seconf hand parts over the internet?

I don't think next day delivery is a must, but communication with the buyer is. As long as you inform them on when you will post it and when they should recieve it BEFORE they pay then there shouldn't be any issues..

if you work 8-6 mon-friday...how do you expect to get to the post office which is open 9-5?? Ant had my number, so if he had text me i could have replied, i cant get on my PM's on my phone, and i dont always have access to a computer...i sent him a bonnet the week before with no problems, i took a day off work so i could be in for the couriour...and then they went to the wrong house (not mine or anthonys fault) but non the less i had to have another day off work the next day...we sorted it, he got his goods, no one got hurt, nothing was damaged or wrongly described, id just started my new job, times got crossed over, somtimes things over lap other things...but its sorted now, im far from a scammer lol, i dont have the balls to do it for a start , plus im a nice guy ...thread close?
