Use firefox.

Firstly though, do a full Av and spyware scan - if possible do it in safe mode with system restore switched OFF. (some virii and spyware resides in the restore files)

I had this about 6 months ago, spybot search and destry could not find anything, I switched to Firefox, still happening, I downloaded something called Hijackthis, it took about 30 mins and found the fault, and fixed it never had a problem since, also download Vundofix, works a treat 100% it works.

I'm so use to IE but i'm using 7 which i've heard isn't as good as 6. My current security setup is as follows

AVG Internet Security
ZoneAlarm Firewall
AnitSpyware (thats the name of the software )

So do I need to boot my pc in safe mode with system restore switched off..... wat will that fix?

not always the case...
IE is prone for popups including their popup blocker switched on. Because people out there can't be arsed to switch to a different internet browser to take 5mins to download and install so thats hijackers job made easy because they'l target IE users. I get about 1 popup with firefox and thats because of ONE dodgy site (not porn) and thats just a poker thingy. doesn't bother me.

No matter what spyware or adaware software you use you may not get rid of it. because the websites may have them popups included in their sites. depends.

You'l get nothign but results with firefox. if it continues. then i'd say start looking for spyware programs etc. otherwise you could be there for ages trying to get rid of it when its not there. Just a thought.

It's all about bugs... alot of it but they say thay are basing the system off of 1, 1.5 & version2 for the version3 release. so assured there won't be much issues.
Bugs are usual, as in random crashes and problems with addons/plugings. nothing major.
Looks to be faster too.. hmm interesting,
loads of addons already to improve speed of firefox..
my fav addons are,
fasterfox - speeds up page downloads loads of settings to play with
download statusbar - better interface for when downloading files
foxytunes - control music within ur browser instead of reverting back to WMP, itunes or winamp
ietab - open up IE bowser within firefox.. handy for them microsoft updates
downthemall - download batch picture files etc..
webmail notifier - tells u of any new mails u get within hotmail, gmail or the like popup and sound notification, 1 click and sends u straight to inbox auto logs in.

Firefox is great tbh. And is even better with this addon.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Very good protection with this combo.

I cannot use IE, absoloutely shite, especially 7. Ive used firefox for 3 years, and never looked back. Its very very very very rare that I get a pop up. I dont use a firewall either, and barely use the virus checker. I do run AVG sometimes though, and its rare i have an problems too. I dont reccomend not using firewalls and constant anti virus though, unless you back up your shit and you know what your doing when it comes to removing viruses ect.
