decided to get the rig out today for a quick play for the first time since last summer, i really need to get some proper suction mounts as its really restrictive as to where i can mount it on the car. was quite pleased with the final result though, just wished there was more stuff in background/ better background to give slightly more sense of speed, 1 second exposure was as low as i could go even with the ND filter one during day light. road and wheel look quite cool though.

bonnet area looks like a hell of alot of smoothing/blending has gone on with the (added clouds?)

re 1 sec couldnt you shoot more than F19? or is that the max of your lens/10d

nope buddy not done much work on the bonnet other than the area straight above the renault badge where the suction mount was. Clouds arent added either just made a bit darker.

yeah could only get down to f19 @ 1 sec on the 10d with the lens i was using

bugger not being able to go to F22 etc..

wonder what it is then as theats the one area I saw right away that just looked off.

Any luck on the new suction mounts or still not found what you are after?

yeah mate, posted up a threaded in the automotive photographers to hire group on flickr. warehouseexpress now do them (well manfrotto versions) http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-...mp-Cup_1519275 and they are much cheaper than when i was looking last summer, irc they were £96 each or something like that.

im still yet to bother using flikr lol...

looking at most of the cups on the market I know when i bother to sort a rig i need to spend ££££ the weight of a 1D hanging off the thing is a bit of a bitch.

lol i wouldnt want to risk it, just pick up something cheap like a 20d for it, the manfrotto ones are pretty much the same as the avengers, just apparently they dont use that brand name over here.

I have a 30D.

Prefer the 1 though, may grab a 5D later in the year if ones going cheap and hang that off as 16mm on the 1.6x isnt the best

I did and then my FF crashed so ive lost the format if you send it again pweese
