Default Saxo Brakes / Exhaust Mounting

Hi Folks,

Many thanks to all who replied to my previous posts about the CV Boot, as previously mentioned my car failed it MOT due to a number of faults, I'm trying to source the parts myself rather than let my mechanic source them, as he only has a small window of fitting them before my re-test as he's taking a look at it 4 days before the re-test is due, im thinking if i get the parts in now then it will just be a matter of labour costs to pay for.

I need to source a new set of brake discs and an exhaust system mounting (nearside rear), I typed saxo exhaust mounting into ebay but no idea if what came up was correct.

I'm not sure exactly what type of brake discs i need to purchase as I've heard there are all different types, hollow, solid etc... they appear to be the 3 stud type from looking at the wheel.

appreciate any help

many thanks

for the mounting are you sure its not just a exhaust rubber that is needed?
as for the discs you best to change the pads at the same time (don't know if you were planning on doing this) but if it is a 3 stud wheel i assume you have a mk1 1.1 or similar, take your wheel off and see wether it is soldi or vented you will be able to tell as a solid will look like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-PEUGEO...item3a66b01d82

and vented will look like this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-SAXO-V...item4ce506387d

but if your still unsure got to a local parts supplier and give them your reg and they should get you the proper parts.

There's only one type of 3 stud disc on a saxo. None of them are vented, even across all 3 stud cars.
