right a bit of discussion here I an after some advice on springs for coilover only now regardless of spring rate Are there any prefered spring manufacturers or recommend ones over the usual Gaz or faulkner ?

eibach clilover springs are pretty decent from what ive heard
just the sprintline stuff thats crap

No, better quality springs will be more accurate to what they say they are. The process they use to treat them will be different too.

Eibach pro stuff is about as good as it gets.

Eibach spring materials are the best in the business across their whole range.

Alex - whats wrong with Eibach Sportline? As a road spring they give a better ride than many cheaper sets on the market...

i had them and b8s on my old vts and hated them
bottomed out far too easily

scraped my lower brace at the bottom of the elbow at mallory park and generally soft
ride wise i wasnt that impressed

as a cheapo spring there not bad but id rather just buy an apex kit in comparison i felt the apex was a much better all roander

then i went to group n billies which made very little difference tbh

it is only the sprintline/sportline whatever they are are crap
the pros we fitted a set to a golf and they were very good

and the coilover springs we used at my old work when making up the billie shocks for the caterham lola 500 and they were epic

They really are for road use only. They are not a track spring.
Its a progressive spring with a soft initial spring rate of only 80 ft lbs to soak up bumps and to allow suspension travel, but then going to 240 ft lb as its compressed.

i bought them for mainly road use
did a few laps of mallory on them
they were pretty poor on the road tbh i thouht
certainly wouldnt buy another set myslef
