Default Inverted subs , yes or no?

So what is the real reason? Does it produce better sound or is it just for looks purposes?
If inverting will the way you wire it up have to change?

Mounting it with the speaker face facing into the box?

I tried it once with an old half knackered jbl sub - I thought it sounded pretty much the same to be honest - no real difference.

Don't do it.

subs are designed to have their arse in an enclosure of specific dimensions. (unless of course their IB, which most aren't)

Oh and it'll just muffle the sound, you wouldn't fit nice new door speakers and then put a pillow over them, would you?

I believe a few SPL competitors do it though, to get more volume. but if you want a nice clean sound, i'd avoid it.
