are there any safety issues with this? does it not make it real easy to steal your car?

no because your key still has to be in the ignition for the imboliser to work it just branches of the 3rd turn of the key into a button

Sorry bumpIng up an old thread, but I'm trying to fit one to my mk2 now.. the instructions say I need to connect one wire to terminal 15 behind the ignition switch... and one connecting to terminal 50 behind the ignition switch. Then another wire to be connected to terminal 15. Can anyone tell me where these terminals are?? Its proper confusing me!
Thanks guys.

A bit more info, the one I need to connect to terminal 50 is 'The power path from the ignition to the starter motor'.
The wire to be connected to terminal 15 is 'The power path that passes through the ignition'
Any ideas?
