Morning Troops. Bumper blacker..
Morning Troops. Happy weekend.
Stuck at work right now and basically just sitting here thinking of stuff I wanna do to my car rather than working!
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent brand/type of product that I can use to blacken the strips on the bumpers and the side of the car as they've faded.
I used one on my KA once and it worked a treat but cant for the life of me remember what it was.
Appreicated.

The words 'AutoGlym' and 'Good' shouldn't be used in the same sentence IMO - alot of their products (including the bumper restorer) really aren't up to scratch tbh. Gtechniq stuff is pricey but works wonderfully if applied correctly. Definitely worth a Google

This works well before applying anything. Only use a low setting on the heatgun and tape up any surrounding paintwork and crack on. You'll only melt the paintwork if you're not careful lol.

Yes heat gun works. Nothing else required. Medium heat, turns it black again like factory fresh black. Not "expensive product that lasts a month and fades to grey again" black ...

Bit greasy though, catches the dust etc. On the other hand it's excellent on interior plastics.

As uaual with my decisions, I go for the majority vote. In this case I think the winner is the heat gun. I may try and product first and when/if that fades i'll give the heat gun a blast.
Cheers for the input everybody.
