For all that use the 3m blue tape.
Just been informed by the 3m rep that there is a huge amount of fake blue masking tape in 1 inch and 1.5 inch going around on ebay and the likes. The tape leaves all glue behind and also the blue bleeds out when used for painting. Just a heads up and buy it from a reputable retailer.

Sound advice bedford, something like this isn't worth being cheap about.
Its cheap enough from a reputable supplier, the money you save from buying from a unknown seller isnt much. The amount of extra time it may take someone getting it back off isn't worth the few quid they save.

To be fair, at under £4

It would be silly not to buy the real stuff. I wouldn't buy car cleaning stuff from Ebay anyway, as you never really know what you're receiving if you aren't familiar with the product.

Little tip though - when taping up a car before polishing, run the tape along your jeans so the tape residue doesn't stick to the trim itself but still sticks well - works a treat
