Best products, Personal experience
Looking for a decent set of products to clean
So far iv decided on:
*Meguiars gold class shampoo
*probly meguiars branded clay bar and detailer spray
Looking for a Decent wax that will give me a very glossy finish, but also durable?
And a decent polish.
A finish like this one would be nice, but it will be on a dark, woodland green.
Cheers

By hand I use Autoglym Super resin polish, by machine I use Menzerna.
As far as waxes, I'm a dodo juice fan. Supernatural in particular but the cheaper ones are good too.
I also use megs gold class shampoo and megs clay

The only one I couldnt seem to find on there is the Megiures cutting compund and the polish so I eventually brought it of eBay.

I tried using some cheap ebay clay, it was branded as 3m and it worked pretty well, used it to remove some primer overspray and it did the job
I usually use poorboys stuff but its expensive, last a while though and you get what you pay for
Want to try the black hole glaze to fill some scratches in mine and the swirlremover once I get a machine polisher

Like most things, you get what you pay for as a general rule.
Stuff from Halfords is mediocre at best.
Check the detailing world forum at some of the professional cleans on there, they usually tell you which products they use.
My personal experience is with Autosmart as you can buy in bulk and they seem to work very well generally, for wax I usually go with Chemical Guys 50/50.

I've only ever used Auto Glym, yes their products are over priced but to me they work the best. My car comes up brand new when I follow this procedure:
Wash (5 mins)
Tar remover all over (45 mins)
Wash + dry (20 mins)
Clay bar with detailing spray (45 mins)
Wash + dry (20 mins)
Polish (1 hour)
Wax (1 hour)
Extra gloss protection shine (20 minutes)
Your use about £150 worth of products if you buy it all at once... but for me it looks showroom condition afterwards. The trick is to take your time, far to many people just rush their claying process which is arguably the most curtail part to a good feel and shine to the paintwork. If you make a day of it you will be left with a really good result.

It may take a little longer but it works and wash the wheels first so the dirt isn't being splashed up onto the clean body
To clean my car it takes me at least half a day if I start at 9 o clock on a Saturday I wont finish untill 3 o clock thats if im being quick as well.
This is my procedure though:
Rinse
Snow Foam
Wash
Rinse
Iron-x
Rinse
Tardis
Rinse
Wash
Rinse
Clay
Rinse
Dry
Cut
Polish
Sealent
Wax

If spending £150, you should be looking to buy in bulk.
Whilst Autoglym is certainly not bad, there are much better products you can buy for the same money or cheaper.
5 litres of G101 all purpose cleaner is about £14 and will likely last years. A 1 litre APC from halfords will set you back a tenner and likely last a few months.
Look on the detailing world forum and check out cleanyourcar for products.
