Default Pressure washing engine bay

Want to pressure wash my engine bay, thinking of removing the battery to do so.

Will I need to wrap ecu, fuse boxes with bags or anything?

Is there anything else that I will need to protect?

Yes to all of the above, but you don't really need to pressure wash the engine bay? Hence I wouldn't advise it.

As above, I wouldn't bother, if you read the sticky it says not to do it, it's to easy for water to get into the electrics and for something to go wrong.

A paint brush, a few rags and some engine cleaner and a hour later it will look just as good.

I've heard some good things about Jizzer, and it's got an amusing name!

Never pressure wash an engine. My gf brother did mine and ended up scrapping the car. Could never get it running right. Not worth the risk.

Just had a quick go using gunk, only had 20 minutes but the results were promising. Rinsed using a spray bottle.

I've jetwashed loads of engine bays without issues. Just protect electronics, and don't go mental near them. Half a litre of gunk, applied to a warm (not hot) engine, left for 20 minutes, then jet washed with the engine running has always worked for me

Good old brake and clutch cleaner dose a good job on engine grease.

I wouldn't pressure wash an engine bay now. Degreaser and a hose adapter for your tap so you can have hot water will work well, plus elbow grease
