Default Vts turbo project map sensor question

I'm in the middle of turbo charging my vts,
does anybody know if I can get hold of a 2.5-3.0 bar map sensor that fits in the standard position in the 16v inlet plenum?

If not advice on the best one to use with a three plug predator?

I don't know any off hand and never used that ECU. But in the past I have left stock map sensor in and just use a pipe to feed an alternative sensor.

The 3-plug Predator can come with a *built-in* 2.5bar MAP sensor. this will allow boost readings up to 1.5bar (21psi), so you don't need to purchase on separately!

Hope that helps!

No the single plug can have one too - normally I don't charge any difference when ordering, it more matters what the customer wants.

Believe it or not they are not an expensive part, but require a physical jumper alteration on the board to change the ecu from 'listening' to the stock sensor to listening to the onboard one - where fitted.

I guess I could standardise on fitting them as standard and activating, but then when people are bodies or non-turbo seems a bit of a waste of time

It wouldn't mean anything to you, it's a small surface mount Freescale component, it's not a 'brand' or anything like that, but they are quite reliable and accurate

Ok so I'm still looking for a map sensor to use with my turbo conversion, I've PM'd luthor1 a couple of times now but he hasn't replied, maybe he's busy with other projects or something.

Can any point me in the direction of a commonly used map sensor for boost conversions, some website links, or eBay links etc.
Just a bit worried about ordering a sensor and then realising it's not going to work properly with the predator ECU.

Reliable, lowish cost, and good for 400bhp.

That'll see you right.

just mount it someone and run a vac pipe from the inlet to the fitting on it. Then wire it in.
