16v
Right I start an apprenticeship on Monday so seen as though I should be getting some money coming in, I thought I might get a 16v, rebuild it in the garage, then when it's done, swap it for my 8v then sell that engine.
Just wondering, if I got a 3 plug VTS engine, and got the 3 plug ecu, would I just need to change the engine, change the ecu and that's it? Would everything work the same?

Also need a 3 plug 16v loom, top rad hose possibly and a throttle cable ( halfords bike gear cable for 1.99 works a treat! )

Is the 16v 3 plug look different to a vtr 3 plug loom then? I couldn't just simply swap the ecu?

You'll need the VTS 3 plug engine loom. VTR is different sensors etc etc.
Fuel return would be good.

Interior loom is the same then and will plug into the vts ecu?
I'm looking to do it slowly over a months, between now and Christmas probably.
Fuel return, I really don't understand what or how to make one, obviously now my vtr has the regulator next to the fuel pump, not sure how to change that to an actual fuel return from the rail??

Vts radiator too,i've been told it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Its pretty straight forward once you get your head round it. Buy an engine and get your loom spliced by Tom on here (does a good job).
Fuel return line, again, easy, grab a line out of a vts run it back though the interior to the fuel tank. Best bet would be to buy a VTS fuel tank.
Throttle cable, change it for a 16v one.
Radiator, just get a 16v radiator, its bigger and helps to cool it, VTR rads are capable but it will struggle slightly.
