Default Ultra Yellow 350Z GT4 (aka the banana barge)

So after finally pulling my finger out and doing a 16v conversion on my VTR I decided I needed another, more grown up car...

I ended up with a bright yellow Datsun

I'm sure I'll get some stick for it but I don't care, had it a few weeks and I love it!

I wasn't looking for a GT4 but I stumbled across this for a great price and had to have it.

When I picked it up it was standard apart from having a Scorpion y-pipe back exhaust and LED rear lights from a facelift 350
Since I've had it I have changed the interior/number plate/sidelight bulbs for LED's and swapped the indicators for silvertec's. I also had to swap the aerial for a stubby as the original made it look like a giant RC car

Plans are:
-refurb the alloys anthracite
-high flow cats
-aftermarket y-pipe
-de-wiper
-double din touch screen head unit
-spacers (20mm front+25mm rear)
-lightly tint the rear windows
-front splitter
-plenum spacer
-revup remap
-lowering springs/coilovers (maybe)
-clear rear bumper clusters to get rid of the single red foglight - Done

So that's it for now

Thanks

The colour isn't to everyone's taste as I have found out when most of my mates saw it for the first time

Very nice! I wanna hear the scorpion over my standard exhaust

I'm thinking of changing all the interior lights etc to LEDs as well the normal ones are abit dull

It sounds nice but is a bit quiet, I'll try get a vid up at some point but don't think it does it justice really

The interior LEDs look good but it is still pretty dull. I didn't get cheapy bulbs either

Small update:

Finally got the time to do some bits to the Nissan today now that the Saxo is fixed (for now)
So on went a couple of bits that have been laying around for a couple of weeks:

Some DEPO clear indicators/reverse/fog lights to even out the view from the rear

And a drop in k&n panel filter. For dem powazzzz!

Filter took about 10 seconds to change. The car now sounds a tiny bit louder but should be breathing a bit easier.
The lights on the other hand...

Bumper off job which was a bit of a pain but easy enough and the result was worth it. Fitted silvertec indicator bulbs and an led fog to avoid to avoid the fried egg look

Before

After

Comparison of the light units.

New one's look a bit more up to date and get rid of the single red blob on one side that was bugging me. I think they update the rear nicely along with the led brake lights.
Next on the list will be to replace the headunit with a double din touch screen but that will have to wait until the new year!

I hope not, missed it if they were! Must just be a coincidence

Still got a decent deal on them though. Bought them on black friday and got them for less than half price. Think with shipping from the states and everything it all came to about £70. So much cheaper than anything over here!
Almost on a par with Saxo parts

Great minds think alike! Although i did steal the idea from cal.

Attempted to dewiper the rear yesterday but arm is stuck solid on the shaft. Tried everything to get it off but no luck and i don't want to damage the boot so looks like the wiper will stay for a bit longer... Not much of an update!

I'm a big fan of this colour! Makes me miss my Z

Have you thought about clear reflectors for the front bumper? When I fitted mine it made it look 100% better and I think they're only like £20 for pre facelift bumpers

Thanks. I did think about the reflectors but also thought about some smoked ones. The current reflectors seem to already be darker than the ones I've seen on other zeds so may just leave it as is for a while.
